Arts Activation Fund

The Mayor’s Great Streets Initiative has partnered with the Department of Cultural Affairs on the DCA Arts Activation Fund to support creative, community-benefits projects on designated Great Streets.

Local artists may apply for up to $12,000 in funds to support temporary objects, installations, or experiences that are free to the community and appropriately sited in public places or within public view. These experiences can be planned, developed, and inaugurated within a 2-3 month production schedule. If proposed objects are to be publicly placed beyond three years or proposed events are to reoccur, applicants should make note of this possible longevity in their application.
